This seminar outlines how these digital tools can be used to your advantage from the perspectives of industry leaders who are researching photographers and photographic work.

This seminar focuses on the importance of positioning your photography and photo-based art within various online environments to catch the attention of decision makers and encourage them to reach out with opportunities.

Attendees will gain a broad, yet nuanced understanding of the importance of building and maintaining a strong online presence.

MORNING SESSION

During the morning session, a panel of industry professionals who actively search for artists and images online discuss how they use social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, as well as websites, to learn about you and your work.

AFTERNOON SESSION

Following an intermission, the afternoon session will focus on establishing a strategy for your presence online, discussing online research and observing “live” keyword-driven searches for photographs, with a closing discussion about the value of social media as a path to community dialogue.

Social Media Strategies for Visual Artists: Ideas + Information broadcasts on Zoom on Saturday, September 19, beginning at 11 am CDT. The seminar will span 4 hours including a 30-minute intermission between the two sessions.
