FotoFest's Summer Camp is a photography and writing workshop guided by the Literacy Through Photography curriculum. Held July 1–3, 2024, this year's inaugural camp explores the history and change of the First Ward and Sixth Ward communities in Houston, Texas, where FotoFest is located.

Sao Sreymao Critical Geography 2024 Biennial

Inspired by artist Sao Sreymao's community memories in the Critical Geography exhibition, students ages 5–18 compare past and present-day images of Houston neighborhoods to examine the change.

Students investigate the past using a photographic archive and share their findings through writing sessions, photography walking tours, and photo-weaving.
