MEETING PLACE PARIS 2019 IS SOLD OUT.
FotoFest (Houston, Texas), VU’ (Paris, France), and Fonds Régnier pour la Création (Paris, France), present the world-renowned FotoFest Meeting Place Portfolio Review in Paris, France this autumn.
The FotoFest Meeting Place Paris 2019 organizes one-on-one meetings between registered artists, and dozens of renowned photography experts and industry leaders from across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia. It creates a space where artists can establish connections, and make opportunities with these global art professionals, curators, collectors, and colleagues.
The Meeting Place fosters connections with a wide range of decision-makers who can offer tangible opportunities such as exhibitions, residencies, publication, gallery representation, and art sales.
FotoFest pioneered the formal portfolio review system in 1986, when the first Meeting Place portfolio review program took place in Houston. After 33 years it remains the largest event of its kind globally, and the most international. It has launched the careers of hundreds of participants. The number of programs that have tried to replicate the Meeting Place reflects its importance, and lasting influence on the global photography community. Over the last decade and a half, FotoFest has taken the Meeting Place beyond the United States to stage events in Beijing (2006), Moscow (2011), and Paris (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), and FotoFest is eager to reintroduce the Meeting Place to Paris this November.
Renowned photography experts and industry leaders from ten countries across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia.
Fonds Régnier pour la Création, in partnership with FotoFest, is funding a generous award for one exceptional registrant. The award package includes a full registration fee scholarship to attend the Meeting Place 2020 in Houston during the FotoFest Biennial, round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations for one week, and funding to produce a portfolio.
